Michael Cumby
I remember Mike as a very bright guy who may have been our class valedictorian . We were in the same pe classes a couple of times but other than that, he was in the advanced classes and I the regular. We weren't really close friends but Mike had a big effect on my life. One day he happened to stop by my house with some friends during collage break. I was trying to decide on a major in the health fields. Mike was convinced that dentistry was the way to go. It provided a good stable income in a profession dedicated to helping others and a favorable lifestyle. I figured here is a bright guy that could get into any profession he chose and smart enough to pick the right one. We both made it to dental school but Mike was smart enough to get accepted in dental school after only two years of collage, it took me four. I ran into Mike occasionally at University of Illinois Dental School, but after that I lost track of him. Sorry to hear of his passing. John Katsis
tribute by John KatsisCan't believe we saw Mike 5 short years ago and now he's gone. We'll remember Mike as one of the brainiest members of our class. Will always remember freezing through a football game at Hinsdale Central; then there was that party and that punch. Don't remember much more. He did well. - CS
