One day at St. Louise grade school we were learning about homonyms.  To illustrate we knew the difference between hanger and hangar we were asked to use one in a sentence.  Danny was called on by Sister Francine and without hesitation he came up with the sentence “The boy laid a hanger on the fence”.  Most of the boys in the class started laughing because that’s what we called it when one worked up some particularly thick phlegm and spit it on a chain link fence.  Instead of being rewarded for his creativity, Danny earned a trip to the principal’s office.   Danny was a funny guy and a good guy.

Daniel and I grew up together and were best friends since grade school and through high school and he even came out to Tucson, Az to visit me where he ended up relocating to and where he ended up leaving this world while riding his motorcycle which was always one of his passions, he just loved motorcycles. I find myself thinking of him often.   RIP  you are missed!
